Risk Warnings

Important Risk Notice

Investing involves risk. The value of investments and the income derived from them can go down as well as up. You may not get back the amount you invested. Past performance is not a reliable guide to future performance.

Market Risk

The value of equity and fixed income securities fluctuates with market conditions, economic factors, and investor sentiment. A general market decline may materially reduce the value of your portfolio.

Currency Risk

Investments in foreign-denominated assets are subject to exchange rate movements. A decline in the relevant foreign currency against the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) may reduce the MYR value of your portfolio, even if the underlying investment performs well.

Liquidity Risk

Some investments, particularly private equity, real assets, and certain fixed income instruments, may not be readily convertible to cash. In stressed market conditions, even liquid assets may be difficult to sell without significant price concessions.

Credit Risk

Fixed income and debt investments are subject to the risk that the issuer may default on interest or principal payments. This risk is higher for lower-rated or unrated securities.

Concentration Risk

Portfolios with concentrated positions in individual securities, sectors, or geographies may experience greater volatility than more broadly diversified portfolios.

Leverage Risk

Where leverage is employed (borrowing to invest), losses may be amplified beyond the initial investment amount. Assist One does not employ leverage in standard advisory portfolios without explicit client consent.
